Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, ED, PRCCSF participated as a keynote speaker in the Seminar on “CPEC 2.0: Prospects and Challenges” organized by Institute of Regional Studies held at Islamabad

On 31st July 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), participated as a keynote speaker in the Seminar on “CPEC 2.0: Prospects and Challenges” organized by Institute of Regional Studies held at Islamabad.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, in his keynote speech, shed light on the Prospects and Opportunities of Integrating CPEC’s Second Phase with Pakistan’s 5Es Framework. He further emphasized leveraging Pakistan’s role as a regional trade hub, aligning with the 5Es framework of development to enhance connectivity and economic growth.
His Excellency Professor Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan was the Chief Guest. He emphasized that CPEC has revitalized Pakistan’s economy, transforming it into a magnet for investment.
Senator Mushahid Hussian Sayed, Chairman Pakistan-China Institute was the Guest of Honor. He discussed the shifting global power dynamics, with China emerging as a scientific superpower.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, President of the IRS, chaired the session and highlighted the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China has reached new heights with CPEC 2.0, which emphasizes high-quality development and innovation.
