On October 27, 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), was invited to serve as an International Observer for the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Uzbekistan. He actively participated in the electoral process, visiting a total of eleven polling stations in the Tashkent city area to monitor the elections. The Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan made elaborate arrangements, and the polling staff was well-trained for their roles.
The Uzbekistan government invited a number of international observers to oversee the electoral process. Mr. Akram observed that the elections were conducted with fairness and transparency, ensuring that all essential arrangements had been made. He acknowledged the commendable efforts of the Uzbek leadership in safeguarding the rights of its citizens during this important democratic process.
