Meeting Between Vice-President of the Turkic Academy, Astana, Kazakhstan and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram


On 25 April 2025, as part of his official visit to Pakistan, Dr. Askhat Kessikbayev, Vice-President of the Turkic Academy, Astana, Kazakhstan had a meeting with Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram welcomed Dr. Kessikbayev and briefed him on the work and vision of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China, Beijing which aims to foster global cooperation through academic and research-based initiatives. He acknowledged the Turkic Academy’s remarkable efforts in promoting regional academic integration and cultural connectivity.
Dr. Kessikbayev provided an insightful overview of the Turkic Academy, a unique international organization serving as a regional coordination center for Turkic studies. He highlighted its mission to facilitate integration within the Turkic World in the fields of science and education, noting the Academy’s strategic initiatives to strengthen collaboration through partnerships, programs, and projects that advance Turkic studies. He also conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the President of the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Shahin Mustafayev, and emphasized the Academy’s role as an international platform for promoting education, science, and intercultural dialogue.
Both expressed strong interest in building long-term collaboration between their institutions. Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram appreciated Dr. Kessikbayev’s contribution to scientific and educational diplomacy. They explored various avenues to deepen academic ties through joint research initiatives, and seminars focused on enhancing cross-cultural understanding and scholarly exchange.
It was mutually agreed that ICSF and the Turkic Academy will collaborate closely to promote research excellence, academic cooperation, and people-to-people connectivity across China, Central Asia, and the broader region.
