Visit to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Islamabad


On 4th March 2026, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) visited Embassy of the People’s Republic of China at Islamabad and met with Mr. Wang Shengjie. Head of Political & Press Section (CPEC Focal Person).
The meeting focused on strengthening academic and institutional cooperation, as well as promoting people-to-people connectivity in line with the vision of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.
Mr. Wang Shengjie appreciated Mr. Akram’s contributions to promoting the concept of a Community with a Shared Future, as envisioned by President Xi Jinping, and acknowledged his efforts in encouraging academic engagement and global scholarly support for the Belt and Road Initiative. He commended PRCCSF’s initiatives in fostering constructive discourse and strengthening Pakistan-China relations at the academic and policy levels.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram also appreciated the proactive role of Mr. Wang Shengjie and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in promoting bilateral cooperation, supporting CPEC-related initiatives, and facilitating meaningful exchanges between institutions of both countries.
Future collaborative projects of the Institute for Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, in Pakistan, including joint seminars, workshops, and conferences aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and sharing best practices among scholars from diverse backgrounds, were also discussed. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of mutual commitment to further deepening Pakistan-China scholarly, strategic, and people-to-people cooperation.
