Islamic Organization Food Security briefing to International Experts/ Media in Astana, Kazakhstan


On 14th December 2022, Islamic Organization of Food Security briefing was held for International Experts/ Media at Astana, Kazakhstan. Dr. Masoud J. Al-Marri, Chairman of the Executive Board of IFOS and Prof. Yerlan A. Baidaulet conducted the briefing sessions. Both enlightened the audience about the work scope, agenda, and importance of the Islamic Organization of Food Security. They discussed the role of organization is wide as it is working in Africa and various other Islamic states. Islamic Organization for Food Security has been also working with the leading institutions, i.e., United Nations (UN). The international media, experts and audience appreciated the proactive role of the organization in the crucial issue of food security under the regional framework.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) also attended the briefing and interacted with the members of IFOS. He acknowledged the role of organization in working with Islamic countries, mainly Pakistan to eradicate the issues and work for food security. He also talked on prospects of cooperation with the organization in the domain of food security. The briefing made a great impact on international expert/ media personals.
