Pakistan-Uzbekistan Relations & Historical Linkages: Radio Interview

On Tuesday, 28th March 2023, His Excellency, Aybek Arif Usmanov Ambassador of Uzbekistan appeared in an exclusive radio interview at “Planet FM 87.6 (Radio Pakistan) and shared views on friendly relations with Pakistan. The Ambassador was interviewed by Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF, in program “Eurasian Perspective”. During the interview, The Ambassador discussed about the enhancement of cordial relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. There is a dynamic interaction between leadership of both countries. Uzbekistan and Pakistan are working over areas of trade and investment. He explained the cultural and historical linkages between the two countries. Uzbek Ambassador also explained the concept of Central-South Asian Connectivity and told that Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Line will be a landmark regional connectivity project. Pakistan and Uzbekistan are part of many international organizations including UN, OIC, ECO and SCO which play significant role in effectiveness of Regional Cooperation. Moreover, Bilateral trade relations between both countries are rising. The direct flights between the two states are expected to increase the trade relations. The Worthy Ambassador also highlighted the education and tourism in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan has a very advanced education system. Students from Pakistan can study at institutions in Uzbekistan in all kind of fields such as medicine and engineering. Uzbekistan is also best tourist destination with intriguing places like Bukhara and Samarkand. Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram acknowledged the efforts of His Excellency, Aybek Arif Usmanov for advancement of bilateral trade and cooperation between the two countries.
