Significance of Rule of Law in Pakistan: Radio Interview

On Tuesday, 11th April, 2023, Mr. Zain-Ul-Abidin Qureshi, Advocate High Court, was invited at live radio program ‘Dialogue with Experts’ hosted by Advocate Zaildar Ahsan Shah, Advisor on International Relations, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) at channel FM 101, Radio Pakistan.
In the interview, Advocate Zain-Ul-Abidin Qureshi talked about role of judicial system for growth and stability of the country. Law is a distinct field of study which aims at developing expertise to regulate actions of citizens. It imposes legal obligations according to the constitution of a country and enforcement of those rules by a controlling authority. Law holds importance in a every society to bring peace and to protect the fundamental rights of every citizen. He said that we should believe in supremacy of Law and our legal system to be fair and transparent based on principles of equality and independence. The courts should work effectively in order to resolve disputes and ensure accountability through letter and spirit.
He discussed about improving role of young population in the law profession and advancement of skills in research and development in this discipline. Students have become much more qualified and refined in this field.
He also said that, according to the constitution of Pakistan fundamental rights of people must be protected with a proper implementation of rule of law in the country. Pakistan needs to establish rule of law in order bring political stability, economic prosperity and social order to secure future of our nation.
Mr. Zaildar Ahsan Shan thanked the guest for sharing his views on role of law and judiciary and encouraging the youth about significance of law as a profession.
