Meeting between Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Lahore & Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad

On 2nd August 2021, (PVC first) Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad visited University of the Punjab, Lahore where a meeting was held with Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Prof. Dr. Mahboob Hussain, Chairman, Department of History and Pakistan Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore and Mr. Shahzad Nawaz, Member Board of Experts PRCCSF and Communication Advocate and Media Specialist, Shahzad Nawaz Consulting, Lahore.
During the meeting, the future collaborative activities between PRCCSF and Department of History and Pakistan Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore were discussed. It was decided that PRCCSF and the Department of History and Pakistan Studies will jointly work towards promoting the historical significance and the historical roots of Pakistan with Central Asia, especially Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, the functioning of Zaheer Ud Din Babur Center and its future discourse activities were discussed. Prof. Dr. Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Lahore stated that the Center will actively engage academicians and scholars from Pakistan and Uzbekistan to work towards South and Central Asia Connectivity.
On this occasion Mr. Shahzad Nawaz discussed that he will actively work to preserve and promote the cultural linkages between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
