International Conference on Central & South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges & Opportunities at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
On the sideline of the conference, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad had various meetings with media personnel and think tanks


A 7 member from PRCCSF is on a visit to Uzbekistan to attend and participate in the International Conference on Central & South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges & Opportunities to be held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan. On the sidelines of the conference Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad had meetings with representatives of think tanks in Uzbekistan. To initiate think tank level cooperation, Mr. Khalid had a meeting with Mr. Juraev Farrukh Sayfiddinovich, Head of Department, Institute for Strategic & Regional Studies under President of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, it was discussed that ISRS has been an active partner of PRCCSF and in times to come both institutions will closely work towards further enhancing this cooperation specifically in fields of research and development. Mr. Khalid Taimur also visited the State Museum of the History of Uzbekistan where he had a meeting with Dr. Ismailova Jannat Khamidovna, Director of the Museum. During the meeting, cultural similarities and the history of Pakistan & Uzbekistan were brought under discussion. Dr. Ismailova was eager to initiate cooperation with PRCCSF to highlight the historical significance of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and vice versa. During his visit to Uzbekistan, various media representatives conducted interviews with Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram. The interviews were conducted by Uzbek 24 and Oshlar News Channel in Tashkent. Uzbekistan State TV and UzNews also took interviews. During the interviews, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF discussed the prospects of Pakistan-Uzbekistan bilateral ties. He also highlighted the significance of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s 2 days official visit to Uzbekistan.
