Meeting of His Excellency Aybek Arif Usmanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan with Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad and Dr. Fouzia Hadi Ali, Director, Regional Integration Center, University of the Punjab, Lahore

On 21st May 2021 Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF, and Dr. Fouzia Hadi Ali, Director, Regional Integration Center, University of the Punjab, Lahore visited the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and had a meeting with His Excellency Aybek Arif Usmanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan.
During the meeting, areas of mutual interest were identified to develop a course of action for planned projects and their implementation. Furthermore, initiatives to strengthen the cooperation between academic institutions of both countries were brought under consideration.
It was agreed that PRCCSF and Regional Integration Center, University of Punjab, Lahore will develop a roadmap for boosting bilateral academic, research, cultural, and trade cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
Various Academic opportunities including scholarships for students of Uzbekistan by the University of the Punjab, Lahore were also discussed.
His Excellency Aybek Arif Usmanov appreciated the role of PRCCSF and RIC, University of the Punjab, Lahore for their significant role in enhancing academic linkages and people-to-people contact between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
