Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, ED, PRCCSF chaired a session at the “2nd International Conference on Media and Communication Studies 2024" organized by the Department of Arts and Media at Foundation University, Islamabad and Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan, Islamabad


On 7th May 2024, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of PRCCSF, chaired a session at the “2nd International Conference on Media and Communication Studies 2024 organized by the Department of Arts and Media at Foundation University, Islamabad and Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan, Islamabad.
Mr. Akram highlighted the significant role of media in enhancing regional connectivity and fostering collaboration among diverse communities. His insights shed light on the pivotal impact that effective communication channels can have in promoting understanding and cooperation on both local and international levels. Maj Gen Muhammad Kaleem Asif HI (M) (Retd) was the Chief Guest, with Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed as the Keynote Speaker and Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Shafiev Saidjon Ismoil, as the Guest of Honor. They were warmly welcomed by the Pro Rector, Professor Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, and HoD Dr. Hina Shahid.
Rector Maj Gen Muhammad Kaleem Asif HI (M) (Retd) presented the university plaque to the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed. Moreover, Ambassador Shafiev Saidjon Ismoil presented Tajikistan's national attire, headgear, and books as tokens of appreciation to the esteemed guests.

Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Dr Hina Shahid, HoD Arts and Media and esteemed faculty members of the department were in presence. Dignitaries and students from around 15 different universities of Pakistan gathered see the art exhibition that showcased the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty to promote the cause of creating awareness about glacier melting.
