On 1st February 2021 the first session of the Online International Course “The Community with Shared Future: Leading to a New Inclusive World” was held. This course is organized by Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China, Beijing, China
The theme of the first session was "Introduction to the concept of a Community with Shared Future " and the speaker for this session was, "Mr. Wang Sixin, Vice-Dean, Institute for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China, Beijing, China."
The session was commenced with the opening remarks of Ms. Minahil Shawal Afridi, Deputy Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future
Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China. She expressed her gratitude to the speaker of the session, Mr. Wang – the Vice-Dean, Institute for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China. She mentioned that the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future is launched as a platform to support building an academic network and initiating collaborative academic projects.
Mr. Wang Sixin comprehensively discussed the idea of a community with a shared future. He discussed that the ancient Chinese philosophy gives the idea of a shared community. Chinese people believe that that the entire world community is a family and all countries are equal in the Chinese perspective of a community with a shared future. He stated that China has always believed in helping the neighboring countries and the world. China believes and also practices that all countries must join hands to solve our global issues together.
Mr. Wang also highlighted that a community with a shared future also promotes mutual respect and multiculturalism. Chinese vision aims to respect the differences in other countries, cultures, and practices. He highlighted that the basic idea is to promote the mutual interests of not only China but other counties as well to create a peaceful, responsible, and pleasant global community with mutual respect.
Discussing the bilateral ties of Pakistan and China he stated that both countries fully accept the idea of a community with a shared future, the practical manifestation of this idea is the creation of these two research centers in Pakistan and China. He expressed his gratitude to the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future for organizing this online course as a step to spread awareness regarding this concept.
Mr. Wang also highlighted that it is of utmost importance to adopt this concept to collectively deal with global issues such as pandemics and health-related issues. Stating the example of COVID-19 he mentioned how China helped Pakistan and other countries to collectively overcome the issue of a global pandemic. He concluded by emphasizing that the most important elements to surviving together are global peace, prosperity, and collective growth among the countries of the world.
It is noteworthy that students from all across Pakistan are a part of this Online International Course. This course will enable them to understand the idea of a community with a shared future and its positive impact on the development of countries.
