High-Level International Conference on "Regional Cooperation among Central Asian States within the Framework of the Joint Plan of Action (JPOA) for the Implementation of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy" is being organized on 3rd and 4th March 2022 at Tashkent Uzbekistan.
The conference is being organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MFA), United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China is participating in the high-level conference.
The inauguration ceremony was addressed by the President of Uzbekistan, H.E Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Mr. António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General among other renowned dignitaries.
The conference has invited government officials, experts, academicians, and practitioners from across the region to discuss various themes related to Joint Action Plan on Counter-Terrorism for Central Asia.
