Day 3 of the "IX Moscow Conference On International Security" at Moscow, Russia organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad represented Pakistan and attended the conference


The IX Moscow conference on International Security in Moscow, Russia is being organized by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Moscow, Russia. Delegates from more than 103 countries participated and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF represented Pakistan.
H.E Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, addressed the conference and discussed that United Nations has played a major role in the last 75 years however, a small group of countries under the United States is trying to create new delimitation lines. Furthermore, the exit of the United States from the open skies treaty has left the European Union in a crisis.
He also highlighted that the Indo-Pacific strategy of the United States is made to contain China and Russia.
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Army. General Nikolay Patrushev stated that Russia has always helped other countries to maintain their sovereignty. He mentioned that Russia has also helped Syria in its fight against terrorism. Furthermore, the “Moscow Format” for Afghanistan has also been a success.
Mr. Sergey Naryshkin, Director of foreign intelligence Service of the Russian Federation also addressed the conference.
The Plenary Session 5 revolved around Military and military-technical cooperation in Africa & the Middle East as a major factor in strengthening regional security. Panelists from Russia, Algeria, Guinea, and the Central African Republic also participated in the session.
The 6th Plenary Session invited a discussion on Military cooperation as a tool for countering regional challenges and threats in Latin America and the Western Hemisphere.
The session included panelists from the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Republic of Paraguay, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Cuba, and Republic of Nicaragua.
The Plenary Session 7 was about European Security, trends, and prospects. Panelists from Russia, Finland, Serbia, and France discussed the intensification of military activity in the region and multilateral dialogues in the field of security and conflict prevention.
The conference aimed to discuss the issues of the contemporary global and regional security agendas, their possible solutions, and the role of military cooperation tackle global challenges.
